QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED FOR THE POSITIONS WITH METHOD OF APPLICATION
Computer literacy is required for all positions.
1. Professor (CONUASS 07) : Applicants must be authorities in the relevant field
with Ph.D degree or Post-graduate Fellowship specialist in the relevant field (for the College of Health Sciences) from any reputable University/ Institution with substantial scholarly publications. Applicants must have had at least TEN years of post-doctoral University full-time teaching and research experience, with ability to initiate and supervise research projects. Administrative experience will be an advantage. Successful applicants must be able to give academic and professional leadership in the field.
2. Reader (CONUASS 06): Same as for 1 above, except that 8 years of post- doctoral University full-time teaching and research experience is required.
3. Senior Lecturer (CONUASS 05) : Same as 1 and 2, except that 6 years of experience is required.
4. Lecturer I (CONUASS 04) : Candidates must normally possess a doctoral
degree in the relevant field or for the College of Health Sciences, a basic degree in Medicine (MB;BS) and Postgraduate Fellowship. Three years of post-doctoral teaching and research experience is required except for the College of Health Sciences.
5. Lecturer II (CONUASS 03) : A Ph.D. degree or MB;BS in the relevant field.
6. Assistant Lecturer (CONUASS 02) : Candidates must have Master’s degree in
the relevant field.
7. Graduate Assistant (CONUASS 01) : Candidates must have a degree with a
minimum of second Class (Upper Division) in the relevant field.
8. Deputy University Librarian (CONUASS 06) - This is a Management Position. Candidates should normally possess a minimum of M.L.S. Degree. Additional post-graduate degree of Ph.D in Library Science or in allied discipline will be an added advantage.
